Official text

ZIP consistency (checksum, unzips correctly).

How it appears in feedback

What triggers it

The zip cannot be used as a report package: typically the root folder inside the zip is not named exactly like the zip (minus .zip), the root folder or the 'reports'/'META-INF' subfolders are missing, the file was double-zipped, or the .zip extension is wrong. Most common non-content rejection; AFM and CBI both list it.

The zip could not be unpacked, or it contains files that are not part of a report package: operating-system junk (__MACOSX, .DS_Store, Thumbs.db), a .txt or .xlsx file, a second zip, a PDF.

How to fix it

Build the package as <name>.zip containing a single folder <name> (same string, uppercase LEI) with exactly two subfolders 'reports' and 'META-INF' (case-sensitive). Do not zip the folder's parent, do not double-zip, and avoid tools that add hidden folders (e.g. __MACOSX).

Zip only the package folder. On macOS use the command line (zip -r -X) or remove the __MACOSX and .DS_Store entries. Keep only reports/*.csv, reports/report.json and META-INF/reportPackage.json.
